Caleb Ames, a member of the Duke FFA chapter, is a candidate for state FFA offi ce. Running for the office of Southwest area vice president, Ames faces the opportunity of serving more than 29,000 Oklahoma FFA members. State FFA officers travel across the state and nation to provide leadership and personal development training for FFA members. They also make decisions about organizational policy.

On March 1, 1932, at about 10 p.m., Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh faced every parent’s worst nightmare – their 20-month-old son, Charles Lindbergh Jr., missing from his room. The crime captured the entire nation’s attention since Lindbergh was an international celebrity for taking the first solo flight across the Atlantic ocean in 1927.

District Attorney David Thomas praises team eort during investigation

District Attorney David Thomas announced that two individuals was arrested after an investigation conducted by the District 3 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force (DTF), into illicit narcotics being sold in the Jackson County, Greer County and Kiowa County area. Investigators seized over one pound of methamphetamine at the time of the arrest.
