Edgar Allan Poe was born on Jan. 19, 1809, in Boston, Mass. Unfortunately, by the time he was three years old, he was an orphan and was placed into the care of his Godfather, John Allan. Poe would unfortunately spend much of his life in turmoil.

An estimated 14,000 volunteers in Oklahoma will join millions nationwide to participate in the 2024 Great American Cleanup in Oklahoma. The statewide litter remediation and beautification program engages individuals, community groups, civic organizations, municipalities and companies in all 77 counties in Oklahoma.

Freezing temperatures and winter storms leave people with disabilities, older adults and those with chronic health conditions without power for life-saving medical supplies and without the ability to charge Assistive Technologies or other powerdependent devices.

Attorney General Gentner Drummond announced recently that his office will be monitoring natural gas supply and marketing activity during the frigid weather expected over the next few days. With bone-chilling temperatures in the forecast, Drummond said he wants to ensure Oklahomans are not exploited as they were during Winter Storm Uri.
