Blair sweeps Duke, tournament set to begin on Friday

The Blair Lady Broncs swept a softball doubleheader from Duke on Tuesday by the identical scores of 16-5.

In the first game Cassie Smith was the winning pitcher.

Ally Jo Tutten and Alexis Smith each had two hits.

Blair scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.

Chelsey Martin and Dixie Green had two hits each in the second game.

Taylor Rohrer was the winning pitcher.

Blair will host an invitational tournament beginning Friday.

At 1 p.m. Blair will play Duke. Hollis and Davidson plays at 2:15 while Olustee and Eldorado will meet in the final game of the day at 3:30 p.m.

The tournament will finish on Saturday.
