Frederick's annual "Arts in Action" festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Tillman County Courthouse Square, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also happening that day will be the Frederick Library’s annual Book Sale, which will be at the Gray-Gish Event Center. The Frederick Arts and Humanities Council is stil taking applications for booth spaces for the Arts 'n Action festival.

Artist's booths are open to artists and craftspeople exhibiting their own original works, and will be judged for acceptability. Booth spaces are $45 each and the artist has their choice of a 10’x10’ open space or 2-4’x8’ panels. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, Sept. 7.
