Altus Police are currently investigation a string of recent business break-ins, and Asst. Chief of Police Mike Turner said they are connected.

The overnight break-ins have occured over the past week to The Smoke Shop and the S&P Drive-Thru Convenience Store across the street in the 300 block of East Broadway, Altus Motor Sports and The Tunnel, also on East Broadway, and the Dixie Quick Stop on Ridgecrest Road.

Turner said that there have also been several residential burglaries reported over the past week, but they have not been tied to any of the business burglaries.

“The business burglaries are defiately tied to each other,” Turner said.
