The Altus City Council will have a regular meeting immediately following a regular meeting of the Municipal Trust Authority (MTA) on Tuesday evening in Council Chambers.

Altus Police Department officers Jason McGill, Brad Edmonds, Bill Perkins, Jerry Wingate and Timothy Scott are scheduled to be promoted to Master Officer by APD Chief Mike Patterson.

Agenda items to be discussed include authorizing staff to develop and negotiate an agreement with the Town of Olustee to provide trash pickup and disposal services for the city, as well as approving recommendations from the Elks Lodge Golf Course Committee.

Also on the agenda is an item that will allow the purchase of 49 AR15 DPMS-AP4A rifles for personal possession by APD officers.

The board will consider, discuss and vote to approve the Altus Firefighter Combat Challenge Team to conduct the “Burnout” competition on May 2, and take appropriate action as necessary.
