Joyce G. Stowe, 61, of Mangum, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Oliver White officiating. Burial will follow services in the Riverside Cemetery in Mangum, under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Joyce Gomez was born on July 22, 1951 in Ranger, Texas to Manuel and Pauline (Mendez) Gomez. She married Billy Stowe on Nov. 3, 2012 in Mangum. Joyce was a member of the Living Water Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver. She loved her family, church and caring for any and all that needed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Gomez; a sister, Lupe Gomez; and a daughter-in-law, Lynette Stowe.

Survivors include her husband, Billy, of the home; three daughters, Drena Irons and husband Steven of Norman, Pauline Shelton and husband Donald of Norman, and Lisa Stowe of Mangum; four sons, Johnny Stowe and wife Dorothy of Mangum, Billy Stowe and wife Anne-Marie of Weatherford, Texas, Tim Tallent and Michael Stowe, both of Mangum; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alla Ray Harper and husband Cletus of Mangum, Lucielle Pewett of Altus, and Anita Wells of Weatherford, Texas; a brother, Manuel Gomez and wife Connie of Arkansas; a cherished daughter-in-law, Lynette Stowe; and several other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Additional parking for the service will be available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the south, and Western Sizzlin to the north.
