QuickBooks software is perfect for small businesses that manage their own payroll, inventory, sales and other business transactions. A comprehensive QuickBooks workshop is scheduled April 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m .at Southwest Technology Center, Seminar Center, 711 West Tamarack Road, Altus.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to set up QuickBooks for a business, examine charts of accounts, write checks and record deposits, reconcile bank statements, enter and pay vendor bills, invoice customers and receive payments, create and understand financial statements and balance sheets, track sales tax, customize reports, enter and reconcile credit card charges, and utilize sub-accounts. Attendees will enter the information on the computer using practice sets and will have the opportunity to receive guidance and ask “how” and “why” questions. QuickBooks® Pro 2012 is used for the training.
“QuickBooks is an essential business tool in today’s office,” said Tara Hull, REI Women’s Business Center Coordinator. “It has become the standard accounting software for many small businesses because it’s affordable, easy to use, and people really like the customizable reports.”
Presenter is MJ Brienen, a seasoned professional focused on helping businesses in many stages of development. Brienen has a background in banking, sales, project management and working with websites. Registration is $130 per person and may be made online at www.reiwbc.org. Fee includes hands-on instruction, training manual and lunch. A rate of $100 is available if you don’t require the training manual. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
