Several file for upcoming municipal elections

Municipal filings are being accepted through today for the April 2 elections. There are several Altus and county filings.

In Altus, David Brown and Jim Wilson have filed for the 4 year Ward 1 term against incumbent Rick Henry. Michael Beason has filed for the 4 year Ward 2 seat. Tommy J. Hobbs and Tony Paradis has filed against incumbent Perry Shelton for the 4 year Ward 3 term. For the 4 year Ward 4 seat, Dwayne E. Martin and Jimmy Geigle have filed against incumbent Jack Smiley. For the 4 year Clerk/Treasurer position, Opal Collins has filed against incumbent Debbie Davis.

There are two wards in Blair, with no filings as of this morning.

For East Duke, Board of Trustees, incumbent Todd Warren has filed for the 4 year term.

In Eldorado, there are three 4-year positions. Filing are incumbent Scott Goss, Collins Miller, Ronnie Dickman and Clyde Hill Jr.

In Headrick, for the 4-year Board of Trustees seat, incumbent Danny Fort has filed.

There is one 4-year Board of Trustees term, but no filings as of this morning.

In Olustee, there are two 4-year Baord of Trustees position open. Filing are Gage O. Moede, incumbent Don Buescher, and incumbent Ramiro Garcia. Cindy Moellering has filed for the 2 year unexpired term of Town Clerk/Treasurer.

Jennifer L. Wilson, Secretary of the County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. today.
