The Jackson County Extension Office and Southwest Technology Center (SWTC) will offer a commodity market meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Room 109, at SWTC. Discussion leaders will be Dr. Kim Anderson, OSU Extension Grain Marketing Specialist and Dr. Derrell Peel, OSU Extension Livestock Marketing Specialist. Topics addressed will be the commodity markets. These meetings are designed to foster a better understanding of how the market operates, how to best utilize the market, and current market status.
The meetings are conducted utilizing live interactive technology, meaning they can see and hear us and vice versa. In this format we will be able to have the one on one discussion that is so valuable in this topic area. A light free lunch will be served. Pre-registration is requested (but not required) by 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Extension Office, 482-0823.
