An Altus man riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle in the 500 block of East Tamarack Road Thursday evening.
According to Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy, a vehicle driven by Chad Kelly, 30, struck the victim. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was later mediflighted to an Oklahoma City hospital. That flight was diverted to Comanche County Memorial Hospital where the victim later died from his injuries.
Police are continuing the investigation of the accident.
