Joe Michael Fish, 62, of Lubbock, Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the First Christian Church in Crowell, Texas, with Jerry McClain officiating. Internment was to follow at Garden of Memories in Paducah, Texas, under the direction of Womack Manard Funeral Home.

“Joe Mike” was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 7, 1950 in Amarillo, Texas. His parents were Harold and Edna Fish of Paducah. Joe Mike was a graduate of Crowell High School and Lubbock Christian College. While a student at LCC, he was a pitcher for the Chaparral baseball team. He worked for McClain’s Farm Equipment in Crowell for many years, and was currently employed by Reynolds Nationwide in Lubbock.

Joe Mike was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth David; his father, Harold; and two brothers, David and Benny (Gene).

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his mother, Edna Fish of Paducah; his brother, Richard Fish of Lubbock; his sister, Gail Graham of Richland Hills, Texas; his son, Kirk of Abilene, Texas; his daughters Amber of Altus, and Kolee of Lubbock. He is also survived by nine grandsons and one granddaughter.

Visitation was held Thursday at Womack-Manard Funeral Home.
