Armando Jaimes Perez, 61, of Altus, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Armando was born in Cutzamala de Pinzon, Guerrero, Mexico on June 17, 1951 to Epigmenio Jaimes and Catalina Perez. He was one of 10 children.

He came to the United States as a young man and worked in many jobs before settling in Altus in 1994. He was currently a Foreman at the Martha Co-op and had been there for over 15 years. Armando was a hard worker and enjoyed working. He was not a procrastinator, when there was something that needed to be done, he wanted to get it taken care of immediately. When he wasnt on the job, he was working in his yard and garden. He looked forward to his days off so he could be home to cook for his family and friends. His specialty was barbecuing. Armando was well known for being an understanding, well humored man. He was a loving father and caring husband. He was a wonderful man on the inside and out which showed his kindness in his everyday life. He has many friends and family who loved him and will miss him greatly.

Armando is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Jaimes of Altus; one son, Adrian Jaimes Ugarte of Altus; four brothers, Luis Jaimes of Mexico, Ruben Jaimes and Raul Jaimes, both of Austin Texas, and Catalino Jaimes of North Carolina; and sisters, Virginia Jaimes of Mexico and Oralia Jaimes and Rafaela Jamies, both of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday at Lowell-Tims Chapel. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
