Thelma Irene Cowger was born April 12, 1923 to Thomas and Gladys Cowger in Wildcat, Oklahoma. She was a seamstress at Kellwood Industries until her retirement. She loved handcrafts, gardening, and traveling with her friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Claudia Spence; one brother, and three sisters.
She leaves behind two daughters, Donna McNamara and husband John of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Judy Nichols of Lubbock, Texas; one son, Charles Nichols and wife Hermine’ of Headrick; one brother, Tommy Cowger of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
