Altus, OK – The Salvation Army of Altus is inviting anyone and everyone to the 2012 Community Thanksgiving Dinner. The meal will be held on Thursday, Nov. 22, from 11 .am. to 2 p.m. at The Salvation Army Dining Hall (Soup Kitchen), 1100 N Park Lane. This is a free meal, open to anyone.
The meal will be cooked and served by community volunteers. The menu for this year is Turkey & Dressing, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Sweet Potatoes, Vegetables, Cranberry Sauce, Rolls and Pumpkin Pie.
“Last year we exceeded our goal of serving 100 people and served over 150 people and delivered meals to 20 shut-ins. We are glad to be able to serve our community, and we are looking for volunteers to help set up and serve.”
