The fifth annual Blair Bluegrass Festival is set for Oct. 25-27 at the Blair City Park on U.S. 283 two miles south of the town.

Show times will be 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Bands that will be performing during the three-day event include the Batten Family of Lubbock, Texas; the Triple L Band of Portales, N.M.; the Alaska String Band of Juneau, Alaska; Star Canyon of San Antonio, Texas; and From the Heartland of Purcell. Sam Cook will serve as emcee and Frank Cleveland will lead sound.

Tickets are $10 for Thursday and Friday, $15 for Saturday, or $30 for a three-day pass. Children under 12 will be admitted free with an adult.

The event is sponsored by the Blair Volunteer Fire Department and the Blair City Park Association, as a fundraiser in which proceeds will be split between the two organizations. The fire department will also cook and sell food at the event.
