The Altus Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #120 will once again sponsor the Halloween event “Spooky Town.” According to Michael Bell, President of the FOP #120, the event will be held on Oct. 31 next to Imagination Sation on N. Hightower. The event offers lots of free candy for children 2 through 14, and will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. that day.

“Our lodge is trying to provide a safe and fun environment for our children,” Bell said. “We always invite special guests to come out and hand out candy to the children, and this year it will be McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog and his friend Sparky the Fire Dog.”

Bell added that their lodge is contacting organizations to see if they would be willing to make a cash or candy donation to this event. They are also looking for volunteers. If you would like to help in any way, contact Bell at 649-9645. All sponsor names will be posted at the entrance to Spooky Town so citizens of Altus can see who is sponsoring this great event.
