Elk City – The Oklahoma Insurance Department’s Medicare Assistance Program (MAP), in collaboration with SWODA Area Agency on Aging, will be holding our annual Senior Summit on Thursday, September 27, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The “Senior Summit” is an annual community training event focused on educating Medicare beneficiaries in the main components of Medicare. Topics include: Medicare Basics, Medicare Supplement Plans, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, Long Term Care Insurance, and Medicare Advantage Plans.

This summit will be held at the Route 66 Museum Opera House 2717 W. 3rd in Elk City, Okla.

This will be held for Medicare beneficiaries from the Elk City area and surrounding counties - their families, community leaders, and health professionals.

Changes in Medicare occur annually. The Oklahoma Insurance Department’s MAP Program works to educate communities on these changes and ensure that Oklahoma beneficiaries know how to navigate through Medicare health plan options.
