A Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Membership training took place at Southwest Technology Center on Thursday, Sept. 6. OSU Field Instructor Keith Phelps had members of several LEPC’s from various areas in attendance. According to the LEPC Membership booklet, LEPC’s were developed in response to the Bhopal, India disaster when thousands died from hazardous chemicals.
