Gatlin Brothers to perform in Vernon

The Boys and Girls Club of Vernon Texas is pleased to announce that Grammy Award winner and Academy of Country Music award winner Larry Gatlin will be in concert with brothers Steve and Rudy and the band on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m., in Vernon, Texas, at the Wilbarger Auditorium. Tickets are currently on sale through USAshowtickets.com online, by phone at 940/723-9037 or 940/553-3901 or in person at the Wilbarger Auditorium on Yamparika in Vernon. Tickets are $22 and $17.

The concert with Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Band is benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Vernon and is sponsored by United Food Stores. Stellar Entertainment has joined with the Boys and Girls Club to facilitate the marketing and technical aspects of the production. Stellar Entertainment recently brought to Vernon’s Summer’s Last Blast The Rock n Roll Heaven Show.

Larry Gatlin has been nominated for many awards through the years, but won the Grammy’s Best Country song in 1977 for “Broken Lady”. He also won in the same year CMA’s Male Vocalist of the year in 1979. Gatlin has produced many chart topping songs through the last 30 years such as “All the Gold in California”, “Houston”, “Somebody’s Baby”, and “Talkin’ to the Moon” just to name a few. Gatlin was born in Seminole, Texas where he and his brothers grew up singing together on radio and tv shows as well as in church.
