Altus Police responded to a reported burglary yesterday afteroon at a residence on York Street.
According to Assistant Chief of Police Chief Mike Turner, witnesses had observed subjects leaving a residence at 1304 York during what seemed to be a burglary.
“The subjects retreated to a separate house in the neighborhood where they took refuge in an attempt to hide from the police,” said Turner. “Eventually four subjects were detained and brought to the Police Department for questioning.”
The investigation continued into the early morning hours where Investigators learned that there could be other subjects involved. Initial reports indicate that several firearms were stolen.
