Despite brutal temperatures, students in “That Altus Band” have been in rehearsals since July 30. “I couldn’t be more proud of our students,” said band director Mary Runyan. “The students have been perfect examples of commitment, persistence and endurance.” The band is excited to begin the 2012 season. They will have 110 members, and will be marching their half-time show entitled “Kaleidoscope.” Drum majors for this year’s band will be Dustin Londay, Austin Garland, and assistant Cody Sirk. Band directors are Mary Runyan, Jeff Hastings, and Blake DeLao. Color Guard instructor is Maile Roen.
