Native American dancers are set to perform at last library program Thursday

The final performance for the 2012 summer program, “Dream Big, Read,” will be held next Thursday, July 26, at 2 p.m. The library is happy to welcome back Native American Dancers and Storytellers, Dancing Eagles.

Mike and Lisa Pahsetopah is a family of Native American Dancers and traditional storytellers. Mike and Lisa travel through out Oklahoma and parts of the US entertaining and educating audiences about Native American culture through dance. Mike is a World Champion Fancy Dancer and appeared in movies such as, Walker Texas Ranger, Last of Mohicans and Chasing the Wind. Their daughter, Heaven, will make a special appearance. Heaven is a champion Jingle Dancer and is featured as Oklahoma’s Youngest Eagle and Hoop dancer. Lisa performs the jingle dance and loves to have audience participation in the demonstrations of songs and dances of Native America.
