Due to costly repairs, the citizens of Hollis will not be able to enjoy their local swimming pool this year. The cost is estimated at about $100,000 to repair it. Local citizens have formed a committee to help raise money for the pool. Currently Hollis is collecting aluminum cans, newspapers and cardboard to recycle.
The Hollis Municipal Swimming Pool Project Committee is having a garage sale on Saturday, July 7, beginning at 7 a.m., at the Hollis VFW building in Hollis. These proceeds will go toward the swimming pool repairs.
There are lots of household items, furniture, clothing, TVs, toys and much, much more. There will also be a silient auction on several items. Please come and help support this project. Donations can also be made at Great Plains National Bank in Hollis and Stockmans Bank in Hollis.
