Altus High Alumni Weekend events have begun, with old friends and classmates getting together to swap stories from days gone by. The official AHS Alumni Weekend banquet and related events are always held the fourth weekend in June.

This year’s graduates being honored are those with a year ending in a “2” or a “7”, but even if it isn’t your milestone year, you are still welcome to come and enjoy the festivities going on around town with those classes close to your year.

The Altus Altus High Alumni Association planned events are as follows:

Saturday, June 23 (morning/afternoon) - There is the All Sports Annual Golf Scramble. If you are interested in playing you will need to contact Allan Meier at 580-563-9128 or allen.meier214@gmail.net

Saturday, June 23 (evening) 6-8 p.m. - Alumni Banquet at the High School Cafeteria. Dress is casual, and remember it is Altus in June so it will be a little warm. Dinner is served buffet style. This banquet is for all classes. Tables are labeled by year for each class. It is really important to pre-register so we can get an accurate count on the food. The cost of the banquet is $15 in advance and $20 day of. (Only a limited number of tickets will be sold day of at the bank). Pre- registration deadline has passed.

The Altus High Alumni Association will be set up at First National Bank upstairs on Saturday morning, June 23 from 10 a.m. - Noon. You can stop by and pick up your tickets and your name tags for the banquet. You can also stop by and pay your alumni dues if you forget to mail them in. Remember your dues are very important to help keep the Alumni Association active and functioning. Dues are only $5 per year. If you pre-registered and you can’t make it to the bank by noon your tickets will be waiting for you at the door of the cafeteria.
