That’s exactly how the Altus Junior High girls felt after defeating the Elgin Lady Owls recently 30-20.
The score was tied 10-10 at halftime but Altus took control by outscoring Elgin 13-5 in the third period.
The Lady Dawgs erased any doubt of the outcome when they outpointed the lady Owls 7-5 in the final quarter..
The win avenged a 10-point loss to Elgin earlier in the season.
Altus was led in scoring by Kiondra Knight who tallied 10 points.
The Lady Dawgs ended the season with a 15-5 record.
Coach Christy Scott said she would like to thank the fans, parents and school administrators for their support this year.
