The program is one of many offered this summer at the library as part of the global theme of this year’s national summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories.” The whole family will get to hear stories about Australia and get a close-up look at one of the animals from Australia.
The goal of the summer reading program is to get children to look at the many different cultures we share our world with and the best place for that is at the library. Each week during the summer, the library will have programs with nationally recognized performers. Each week a new craft representing many different cultures will be available for the children to take home and work on.
For more information about all of the activities call the library at 580-477-2890 or visit the library’s web site: www.spls.lib.ok.us.
