The Cutest Kids Contest, sponsored by Belles & Beaux of Altus, is exploding into a huge competition among several of the entries.

Those who register on the Altus Times website to vote in the contest can cast up to five votes per day for their favorite little cuties. The children with the most votes are named the winners in their categories, and are eligible for the grand prize, a $300 shopping spree from Belles & Beaux. Other prizes include savings bonds from Gavilon and Shamrock Bank, free daycare from Little School Learning Center, and a party from Laugh Out Loud.

There are six categories in the contest, newborn to 12 months old, toddlers ages 12 months to 24 months old, ages 2-4, ages 4-6, ages 6-9, and ages 9-12.

Currently leading in the newborn category is Charli Ann Adams with 2,434 votes; Cooper is leading the toddler division with 3,929 votes; Cole McClendon is the leader in the 2-4 division with 1,019 votes; Jadon has 2,112 of the 6-9 year old votes; and Bailey Makyla Coronado is leading the 6-9 year old division with 505 votes.

There is no charge to enter a child in the contest, and it doesn't cost anything to vote.

Although voting has begun, photos can still be entered until 5 p.m. on Monday, June 13 when the contest ends.
