Three people were arrested in Vernon, Texas, on Tuesday when they were found in a vehicle that had been stolen from Wilmes Chevrolet in Altus.

Altus Police Detective Capt. Mike Turner said that an employee of Wilmes Chevrolet saw the new Chevy Tahoe being driven away and contacted authorities.

Because the vehicle was equipped with OnStar, it was tracked to Vernon, Texas, where three individuals were found in the vehicle and arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Those arrested were Leanndra Redbone, 26, of Carnegie, Jamie Fixico, 23, of Altus, and Wesley Ballard, 25, of Altus.

All three are being held in the Vernon jail.
