Welcome set for returning Altus airmen

120 deployed

airmen today

from 4 to 10 p.m.

ALTUS AFB - Airmen, friends and family members will welcome home 120 airmen who were deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and other forward bases in the Middle East, in a ‘Welcome Home' celebration set for 4 to 10 p.m. today.

The celebration will be in the Altus AFB Freedom Community Center. Children of deployed Airmen participating in an essay contest, “Why My Parent is a Hero,” will display their entries and winners will be selected.

Free food and entertainment, including a climbing wall, live music, car smash, sumo wrestling, bull riding and kids games will continue until 10 p.m.
