The regular monthly meeting of the Altus School Board began with recognition of art students who have their work featured in the new Altus Schools calendar.

"The artwork is from students in grade school through high school," said Superintendent Bob Drury. "The work has been on display in the board room and we would like to take this time to recognize these students and thank them for sharing their work with us."

Drury then personally shook hands with each student in attendance and gave them a certificate of appreciation.

Those with artwork in the calendar are DeVante Adamson, Crede Alejandre, Taylor Avila, Chance Bara, Andres Benitez, Vivian Briones, Christopher Cain, Cody Carlson, Jesse Coronado, Lauren Dodson, Meredith Henderson, Jordan Herring, Haley Holder, Stephanie Holley, Kyle Jencks, Kade Kincannon, Malik Knight, Dalton Latham, Darbi Latham, Alberto Lopez, Josue Dakota Martinez, Whitnee Meadows, Kylie Millward, Justin Mitchell,
