Donald Ray Petzold was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Granite to Annie Kretzschmar Petzold and Emil Petzold and died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the age of 71 years, three months and 10 days.

He was married to Sue (McClendon) Petzold and was a farmer in the Friendship area. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Sue of the home; two sons and their wives, Donald Ray Petzold Jr. and Denise of Altus, and Michael Lewis Moran and Lisa of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Lisa Gail Davis of Altus; brother and his wife William and Joyce Petzold of Granite; two sisters, Betty Reser and husband Dale of Lawton, and Margie Martin of Gaithersburg, Md.; six grandchildren, Leah Rhiannon Clark, Tamera Gail Davis, Donald Ray Petzold III, Joshua Rhys Moran, Ericha Jordan Petzold and Annie Rae Petzold.

Funeral services for Donald Ray Petzold will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Granite officiated by Pastor Harvey Gerdes. Burial will be at Navajo Cemetery under the direction of Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home.
