The Mangum boys and the Cordell girls were crowned Champions of the Tri County Basketball Tournament on Saturday night at the Western Oklahoma State College gym.

Mangum got a 27-point performance from Levi Richardson, the tournament’s most valuable player, to defeat Cordell in the finals 48-41. Bryce Kilgore added 11 points.

Cordell defeated pre tournament favorite Snyder in the girls final 42-39.

A three point shot by Snyder in the waning seconds of the game was not good.

The Snyder boys downed Granite 51-48 in overtime for third place.

Jordan Sherwood paced Snyder with 18 points, Cody Hall tallied 17 points for the Panthers.

Sayre won the girls third place trophy with a 38-29 win over Navajo.

The Lady Eagles received a 22 point performance from Sidney Spieker.

Haley Daniel led Navajo with 16 points.

Sayre captured the consolation championship via a 40-36 victory over Hollis.

Tyler Carnahan had 15 points for Sayre. Tyler Bess led Hollis with 14 points.

Hobart defeated Mangum 54-46 for the girls consolation title.

Chrissy Hollister led Hobart with 16 points, Shelby Ford scored 25 points for Hollis.
