Mikayla Jo has been performing for more than 11 years all over Texas and Oklahoma and in DC. She performs the Anthem for NBA OKC Thunder, and has opened for Master's Voice, TG Sheppard, and the Freeman's and performs at several Opry shows. She is involved in many cancer benefits including the Relay for Life, and the Spirit of Survival, and along with her family, she hosts and produces Opry-type shows where she donates proceeds to various charities and arts education. She is a member of the CMSA (Country Music Singers Association) and a 4 year member of the All-State Choir.
She recently auditioned in Austin, Texas for American Idol and was one of the few hundred selected out of 7,500 to audition in front of judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Outcome of the auditions (whether good or bad) cannot be told, but auditions will air in January 2011.
