Work continues on Thunder court

The Thunderbasketball court at Hoyt Shadid Park, located on the sest side of the Altus City Reservoir, is getting closer to completion. The new blue surface is down, and the stencils for the center court logo were being lifted this morning. The fences are up on both ends of the court to stop stray shots from taking off away from the court. Rain delays put a wrinkle in work schedules a few weeks ago and progress on the court was halted for a while. However, work has started back and the finished project is in sight. Keep a lookout and an ear open for an announced grand opening party hosted by the Thunder. It should be fun.
