Flags across the country have been flying at half staff in remembrance of the service members killed in last week’s Chattanooga shooting. The White House and U.S. Capitol both lowered flags to half staff by Tuesday afternoon in their tributes to the five U.S. service members who were slain by a gunman. But the President has not ordered the action nationwide. In Altus, the flags are flying half staff at the Jackson County Courthouse, shown here, Altus City Complex and the post office. The flags on Altus Air Force Base will be flown at half staff until Saturday at sundown. Individuals can raise or lower their flags to mark any occasion or tragedy.
