Altus’ Easter Egg Hunt will be held this Saturday and Altus businesses have once again stepped up to supply lots of prizes for the kids. The event will also include everything from a moon jump, face painting, food vendors and entertainment, to pictures with the Easter Bunny. Activities begin at noon and will end at 3 p.m.

The planning committee started meeting several months ago with organizers deciding to add pre-activites to the event for more community involvement.

When it’s time to get ready to hunt Easter eggs at 2 p.m. sharp, parents are reminded that there will be assigned sections for each age group, so arrive early and locate your child’s area. There will be areas marked off for ages two through 12 years.

Various Altus businesses helped purchase the 10,000 plastic toy-filled and candy filled eggs. Prizes include Easter baskets, free food coupons, stuffed animals and bicycles.

Prior to leaving the park, parents need to open each egg and verify their winnings. Grand prize bicycle winners must claim their prize at the park’s gazebo.
