Danna Robinson, President of Stockman’s Bank presented Mrs. DeeAnn Roberts of Bulldog Academy with the Altus Public Schools Employee of the Month Award. Mrs. Roberts has been an employee of Altus Schools for the past 41 years. She currently teaches art and history at Bulldog Academy. Mrs. Roberts loves working in alternative education and the dedicated staff at Bulldog Academy. The quote by Tom Landry that hangs by her classroom door serves as her motto, “My job is to get men to do what they don’t want to do, so they can achieve what they want to achieve.”

“I love to come to work each day and challenge my students to learn new skills, and to think outside the box. It is such a great feeling to see my students faces when that special light comes on,” says Roberts of her job.

DeeAnn has been married to her husband Tom for 41 years. Together they have one son, Jeff Roberts, his wife Gina and a precious granddaughter Harper. When she isn’t teaching she is running her antique shop or attending church at Blair First Baptist.

Stockman’s Bank presented Mrs. Roberts with a certificate of appreciation and a crisp $100 bill. Stockman’s Bank of Altus has awarded $1,600 to Altus Public School employees since the beginning of the Employee of the Month program in August of 2014.
