The Duck, or Humphrey Road project, began in December 2015. Construction of this Jackson County District 2 project will consist of tearing out the old bridge, draining, and then replacing the bridge.

There will also be some reshaping of the ditches, road milling, regrading and resurfacing done that will help water to flow properly once the project is completed. The overlay of asphalt on this part of County Road 210 will be five inches, and will allow for 11-foot lanes.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation counted 473 vehicles traveling this road daily. Jackson County Commissioner Kirk Butler said the Phase I completion of this project will help alleviate flood problems, and provide for a safer road.

Total cost of the District 2 CR 210 Phase I project is $4.125 million dollars. The estimated completion date is September 2016.
