Christmas Concert set for Dec. 20

The music ministry of the First United Methodist Church in Altus, directed by Donna Tucker, will present “Noel”, a concert of some of the best-loved Christmas songs on Sunday, Dec. 20.


The music ministry of First United Methodist Church will present their Christmas Concert “Noel” on Sunday evening, Dec. 20. The concert will consist of some of the best-loved songs of Christmas through the centuries.

Both the Chancel Choir and the English Hand Bell Choir will be featured, along with special offerings from organist Monte Clason, soprano Judith Norton Meyer, pianist Clark Huey, and violinist Lora Gallman. There will be carol singing featuring special accompaniments by guitarists Jack Smiley and John Wahrmund, bassist Ken Ward, and Lora Gallman.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary with the ringing of the bells. The church invites everyone to attend this blessed and beautiful evening of music. Music ministries at First United Methodist Church are directed by Donna Tucker.
