Keeping warm with the Salvation Army

Kettle Drive volunteers needed

By Michael Bush, - fbush@civitasmedia.com

The official Red Kettle Drive began Friday in Altus. There are kettle located at Walmart, Walgreen’s, United Grocery Store, JCPenney, and Stage. However, you won’t see bell ringers at all locations, all of the time. That’s because they are in need of volunteers. This would be the perfect time for you, your civic group, club or church members to volunteer to ring a bell to help your local Salvation Army. There are still plenty of volunteer time slots available.

The Salvation Army relies on money raised in the Red Kettles – in coins, dollars, checks to serve nearly 30 million people annually across the nation, and hundreds just here in the local area. For more information about your local Salvation Army programs and services, or to make a donation, please call 580-482-8577 or stop by and visit them at 1100 N. Park Lane.

You can also find The Salvation Army of Altus online at www.salvationarmyaok.org or follow twitter.com/SalArmyAOK and facebook.com/SalArmyAOK.

And as always, secure donations can be made online at www.salvationarmyaok.org or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
