Altus Top 3 recently hosted the 18th Annual Chief Wolfe Classic Golf Tournament at Windy Trails Golf Course on Altus Air Force Base. The Wolfe Classic is the Top 3’s largest fundraiser of the year and honors the late Retired Chief Master Sergeant Bobby G. Wolfe, who represented the enlisted corps of Altus AFB from 1969-1981 as the Senior Enlisted Advisor under five wing commanders. Also during his tenure, he founded the Altus Top 3 and the Junior Enlisted Advisory Council known as the Altus Warrior 5/6 Council.

The Altus Top 3 is the premier organization for the base’s enlisted top 3 ranks, which includes Master Sergeant, Senior Master Sergeant and Chief Master Sergeant. Chief Wolfe’s interest in Airmen continued into his retirement years, and he always supported the airmen and their mission, visiting and connecting them to resources and networks.

According to the wishes of his widow, Mrs. Justine Wolfe, half of the proceeds of the tournament were earmarked to be donated through the CFC to the Altus ASYMCA, CFC#83824 to carry forward Chief Wolfe’s remarkable legacy.
