The U.S. Air Force’s premier entertainment showcase, Tops in Blue, is offering a free night of family entertainment on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m., at the Altus City Auditorium in Altus.
This year, Tops in Blue continues its long-standing tradition of family entertainment by showcasing what has made Tops in Blue a “must-see” event for over 60 years. The group will perform chart-topping hits as well as great music from movies and Broadway shows. Combine that with the dazzling lights, costumes and precision choreography for which Tops in Blue is known worldwide, and it will be a show sure to please everyone.
Tops in Blue is an all-active duty U.S. Air Force special unit made up of talented amateur performers selected for their entertainment abilities. Each year, thousands compete in base talent contests and the most talented move on to higher levels of competition. The result is an elite group composed of the most talented vocalists, musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians and dramatists worldwide. Known as the Air Forces’ Expeditionary Entertainers; the group’s main mission is to perform for military personnel and their families throughout the world. The enormous popularity of the group has also made them America’s goodwill ambassadors around the globe, according to their website.
This event is free to the public. Tickets are not necessary, but seating is limited.
