Artist uses chalk to relax

Stephanie McKnight uses chalk art to relax. She stumbled upon her gift for creating sidewalk art while playing with her kids one day. Since that time she has been creating art pieces all over town. She was seen Wednesday in front of Val’s It’s About Time restaurant creating this piece. McKnight, originally from Tulsa, has been in Altus for about four years. “I’ve never done chalk art before in my life,” said McKnight, “but it’s something that I really enjoy.” She looks forward to the next Walking On Chalk event in downtown Altus. “I was out of town when they had the last one,” she said.
