Rockin’ Rabbits Club show results provided

Posted

The Rockin’ Rabbit Club members held their 5th Annual Rockin’ Rabbit Show on Feb. 11 at the Altus Expo Center.

This year we had a good steady year. There were 12 participants with 52 rabbits, 15 different breeds, shown. The day started off with registration and a showmanship clinic put on by past club member Michaella Reed and Charisa Dosher.

Next, the participants were handed out a rabbit quiz, which was a 48 question quiz that tested their rabbit husbandry skills and knowledge. The morning rounded out with the showmanship contest. Throughout the morning, Dosher and Reed did a workshop agility course for the rabbits to go through and then hosted a competition. This is similar to dog agility but set on a rabbit-sized scale.

The Rockin’ Rabbit Club had a raffle set up all morning and about noon drew for the winners.

At 1 p.m. the rabbit show started and Robert Caldwell from Wynnewood judged all 52 rabbits finishing about 4 p.m.
