On Sept. 10, one of Altus’ very own will be looking to take the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City by storm.

The event taking place is one like he has been training for his entire life and it just so happens to be the biggest one he has ever competed in.

Fight to Win Pro 11 is huge.

There are only a few more than 40 fighters chosen to participate in this event nationwide and 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu owner and coach Jason Greer has been selected as one of them.

“This is huge,” Greer said. “I am blessed with this opportunity and it is on such a big stage. It will be broadcast to over forty thousand plus and it is exciting to test myself with a high-level athlete such as Trevor. Win or learn, it is a huge honor.”

Win or learn is like a motto for Greer who never sees a loss as something negative, but instead a learning experience. It is why he has been able to become so experienced at what he does.

Now, he will test everything he has ever learned against Trevor Booth, an up-and-comer in Oklahoma Mixed Martial Arts who holds a 1 – 0 amateur record after beating Emilio Gatewood Guerra by unanimous decision at Rage In The Cage 46 in June.

Booth and Greer will battle it out at the 175-pound weight class where Booth holds the number 19 ranking in active Oklahoma amateur welterweights.

It will be a professional Jiu Jitsu fight no one will want to miss.

“Any given time on any given day, any given person can win or learn,” Greer said. “I am putting work in every single day to prepare and give myself the best possible chance to leave with the W.”

Greer takes with him to the fight the knowledge he has amassed over his lifetime.

He also has the added bonus of training and coaching with Jacob Harris, a 16-year-old phenomenon who is not only an Eddie Bravo blue belt but also a 2015 Gracie World Champion and an Eddie Bravo Invitational veteran.

He is the man responsible for bringing 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu to Oklahoma and has established the gym in Altus as one of the premiere Jiu Jitsu training facilities in the area.

The fights will begin at a time to be announced and there are still tickets available.

For a VIP table that includes 10 seats, the price is $550, for VIP table seats, the price is $55 and for general admission, the price is only $35.

The main event is a No-Gi 150-pound battle between Justin Rader and Jeff Glover.
