Western sweeps Hillsdale in double header

The Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers rolled up Hillsdale Baptist and a doubleheader Wednesday, 16-0 and 12-0.

Josh Anthony continues to scorch the ball going 5-5 in the first game to up his average to .485.

Anthony also homered in the game.

As a team, Western is batting .380 which is fourth in the nation.

With 101 stolen bases this season, Western is second in the country. The Pioneers are fifth in on-base percentage, fourth in slugging percentage and third in shutouts.

The Pioneers are the best in the nation at accumulating total bases, third in extra-base hits, third in RBIs and they lead the nation in home-runs.

The Pioneers have launched 40 long balls this year and Anthony has 12 of them.

The Pioneers 296 runs scored gives them an average of over 10 per game and third in the country.

Catch the Pioneers tomorrow at 1 p.m. against Seminole Junior College out at Pioneer Park as the Pioneers look for their fourth straight victory.
