Duke Tigers are State bound


The Duke Tigers hoist their Area championship trophy high overhead following their dramatic win over Gracemont, 50-49 in the Area finals. Tatum Crouch, the Tigers’ 6’8” force down low blocked a Gracemont put back attempt as time expired giving the Tigers the roof raising win on Saturday. The victory earns the Duke Tigers a first round game in the State Tournament against Class B powerhouse Red Oak Thursday at 7 p.m. The first round games are at Mustang High School before moving the rest of the games to the State Fair Arena. Red Oak averages 88 points per game and only allows 49.
