The Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers’ men’s basketball team improved their record Saturday. The improved to 16-10 overall and 10-5 in Region 2 following a 90-76 drubbing of Carl Albert, then hammered Eastern Oklahoma State by 15, 99-84.

This is a fun team to watch. They are aggressive and quick. When the guards are hot, they can really score in bunches. Imani Edwards (30), Michael Tolbert (25) and Rasheed Wallace (1) can really shoot.

The Pioneers have won eight of their last 11 games. They have three games left on their regular season schedule. Thursday Feb. 18 is a road game at Northern Oklahoma in Enid. Saturday, Feb. 20 the Pioneers are again on the road at Carl Albert.

The final home game of the year against Murray State will be held Monday, Feb. 22.

The Pioneers have not lost a game to any of these three opponents this season going 5-0 in previous meetings.
