The Altus High School freshman Lady Dawgs finished their season at home last night. The girls took the loss to Clinton 38-29.

The loss to Clinton gives the girls a 7-9 record for the season.

After trailing 8-5 after the first quarter, the Lady Dawgs scored 11 in the second to tie the game at 16 at the half.

The third quarter was the Lady Dawgs’ worst quarter for the game. It put the girls down 24-20 going into the final quarter.

Clinton rolled off 14 points to the Lady Dawgs, nine points in the fourth quarter, to make the final 38-29.

AHS had trouble getting the ball in against some aggressive full court pressure. Once they got into their half-court set, they had some success.

“The girls played very hard tonight,” said Coach Dabelstein. “This is a fantastic group of ladies who should be very proud of all their hard work. I am proud of what we accomplished this year. I couldn’t be prouder of this group and of all the time and effort they invested into making themselves better.”
